Handwoven 100% silk and Lotus Flower Plant detail adorn this rare pillow, woven by the weavers who live on floating homes on INLE LAKE, Myanmar. We visited the workshop many moons ago, and were stunned by the fine hand weaving skills and detail of the stalks of the Lotus Flower plant that are harvested from the lake were weavers have lived for generations.
DIMENSIONS: 18"x18" zipper with insert.
INSERT: High Quality duck feather/down 10/90 will hold its shape for years to come.
CARE: Dry Clean Only, please.
PEOPLE, NOT MACHINES: All silk pieces are woven by hand on wooden looms. Slight inconsistencies of thread are part of the hand-woven charm.
Spot clean or dry clean only. Avoid rubbing, especially for felted wool. Use gentle and mild soap for all methods of cleaning. We recommend Eucalan, Wooly Wash by Mitchell's, or Grandma's Spot Cleaner. To try, never use heat as it will shrink, warp or even felt wool.
