Mitchell's WOOLLY WASH
MITCHELL’S WOOL FAT SOAP was first produced in the early 1930’s by Bradford chemist Fred Mitchell who realized that the natural lanolin content of wool fat, which kept the hands of local sheep shearers and wool sorters so exceptionally soft, could also be beneficial to delicate complexions and sensitive skins.
Benefits: Releases dirt from fiber, prevents piling, conditions fiber.
TIP: This Woolly Wash is a wonderful conditioner for all your JG SWITZER felted wool pieces. Mix 2 tablespoons with 20 oz of water in a spray bottle and spray lightly and brush fabric gently with our Redecker Wool and Pet Lint brush. Allow to dry naturally.
Spot clean or dry clean only. Avoid rubbing, especially for felted wool. Use gentle and mild soap for all methods of cleaning. We recommend Eucalan, Wooly Wash by Mitchell's, or Grandma's Spot Cleaner. To try, never use heat as it will shrink, warp or even felt wool.
