Felted Wool Empire Wingback Chair
This Empire Wingback fabric is "painted" with wool by Fiber Artist Jessica Switzer Green for JG SWITZER using a painterly felted approach to non-woven felting wools of sheep and goats to create an organic design on the front, seat. and back. Using her own flock of sheep and incorporating taupe and grey mohair and rare and unusual sheep breeds such as Ouessant, Wensleydale and Shetland sheep, This piece is lovingly upholstered by one of San Francisco's finest upholsterers, Hardesty Dwyer.
Spot clean or dry clean only. Avoid rubbing, especially for felted wool. Use gentle and mild soap for all methods of cleaning. We recommend Eucalan, Wooly Wash by Mitchell's, or Grandma's Spot Cleaner. To try, never use heat as it will shrink, warp or even felt wool.
